Armstrong Marine, Inc. designs and builds welded aluminum boats and barges. High performance designs and quality workmanship define the Armstrong brand that was developed in the Pacific Northwest more than two decades ago. Armstrong vessels can now be found in service around the world, meeting the demands of the commercial marine industry and private clients.

When looking to expand its 26-year old business from Port Angeles to the East Coast, CEO Josh Armstrong said, “we intend to have a lot of export efforts here…[Armstrong Marine] is spending significant money every year shipping vessels all the way across the country.” North Carolina offers an ideal central location for the entire eastern seaboard as well as access to the Eastern Hemisphere.

Armstrong Marine's East coast operation includes a nearly 200,000 square foot facility, ample indoor and outdoor boat storage space, a 75-metric ton Marine Travelift, and floating concrete slips located conveniently just off the ICW.

Their first all North Carolina vessel was completed in June of 2015. The 30-foot aluminum boat was for the Sullivan’s Island Fire and Rescue Team in South Carolina. Mr. Armstrong stated, “We have a product that is one of the most recycled materials on earth…when this thing finishes its lifespan, which may be 50 years from now, it can be itself repurposed again.” The company continues to make boats for states along the East Coast and beyond.
