Because of JOED's close relationship with the bases, we can provide specifics on when Veterans with specific skills will be available. Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) Data is important to any employer who is already located near a military installation or an employer considering locating or expanding its company near a military community. The MOS Data reveals a stellar workforce - the active duty personnel who exit our local military bases each year to work in civilian communities. The JOED staff has compiled a MOS data spreadsheet that translates military skill sets into civilian employment descriptions.
As a service to employers, the Jacksonville Onslow Economic Development team will facilitate any employer in finding personnel using this vital information. The employer may contact us with descriptions of any jobs to be available in the next six to twelve months and the skills required for those jobs. We will assist the employer in ascertaining the projected number of exiting personnel with the skills needed for those available positions.
